The buildings at this 'Paradise Point' are clustered in a series of cabana hamlets, built around a central meeting chamber. Once again, trigger the slides by passing your cursor over the image to the left and you will see the patio overhanging the quiet lagoon of this atoll, as the safari crew surveys this site. Also shown is the interior of the customs house, where travelers intending overnight stays must register with the provincial gendarmerie.
To the left below is a final slide show which illustrates the individual sleeping quarters we were allotted. Both studios and suites are available, interiors of both are shown. Certain of these hovels are located near the shoreline, with well-kept back lawns from which one can observe or participate in the 'fire-ring' rituals which seem to occur nightly. To the right, below, is the final parting shot of the inner lagoon of this archipelago hideaway. |
